In a pursuit to make a contribution to the Arts scene in Asia, Uma Sapna houses original artworks of Indonesia based artist Filippo Sciascia and Vietnamese artist Nguyen Minh Phuoc. It is our commitment and pleasure to showcase artwork that lends a sense of beauty, mystique and calm to our guests, the worldwide audience. Some of the paintings in the Villa are for sale. Filippo Sciascia an Italian artist residing in Indonesia, revisits paintings
by using a high tech tools to mimic “how the eye sees. He begins with a
video film and filters it through the medium of oil painting. This is best described
as the transposition of a video realistic image onto a video painted image.
Filippo’s studio is based in Ubud and visits to his studio can be organized.
Nguyen Minh Phuoc is a Vietnamese artist and a lecturer at Vietnam National Junior College of Music and Art. He has traveled widely especially to New York to familiarize himself with contemporary art of the West. Besides actively participating in art exhibitions in Hanoi, he has been involved in group exhibitions in Hong Kong, USA and China. His paintings represent the technical and stylistic abundance in Art .
